If I remember correctly, the first time I was introduced to Stefan Molyneux was on an appearance on Max Keiser’s Keiser Report sometime in 2010 or 2011 and I liked his analogy of how countries of the world were like farms, the governments/ruling class were like farmers, and the people were like livestock. This concept can be seen in the following 13-minute video clip entitled ‘The Story of Your Enslavement’.
This concept has been well received as the video clip has over 1.2 million views (as of this writing) and is the most viewed video clip on Stefan Molyneux’s ‘Freedom Radio’ youtube channel. The clip goes into explaining that the ultimate resource that can generate the most value is the controlling of humans and that throughout history we have had four models of the human farming systems, that last of which has been the democratic model (aka the mafia model).
Another excellent video in Stefan’s channel is the 5-minute ‘The Money That Is Sold Abroad Is You!’ with over 600 thousand views, wherein Stefan explains how the debts of a nation are saddled on the livestock of that farm.
In late 2010, I had been contemplating doing a clip about the similarities of the Matrix film with our current economic system and was lucky enough to stumble upon one that was very close to what I wanted to do and was entitled ‘What is the Matrix’ (unfortunately the video has been removed from youtube due to copyright, so check out these alternatives by David Icke and VisionVictory [the first 2 and a half minutes]). I was delighted to see that Stefan put his own spin on the similarities of his farming analogy and the Matrix in the following 16-minute clip entitled ‘True News 13: Statism is Dead – Part 3 – The Matrix’.
Comedian George Carlin even takes a stab at the concept of the enslavement of the poor by the wealthy, when the wealthy give the poor the illusion of choice and freedom in this clip ‘You Are A Slave’. And to the right, we have a quote by Harriet Tubman, “I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves”.
Stefan has a number of other good video clips in his youtube channel and I recommend watching ‘The Sunset of the State’ and ‘The Short, Unhappy Lives of Fiat Currencies’. Though I don’t listen to Stefan’s Freedom Radio podcasts as much as I would like to, he does guest hosts the Peter Schiff Show every now and then which I always listening to. One of his recent guest host appearances was on the 4th of June 2012, where he devoted the entire episode to the parallels between the American and Roman empires, which I would encourage people to have a listen to.
